Our gates are OPEN by Reservation Only
We continue to prioritize the health and safety of our Visitors, Volunteers, and Staff
We at Wolf Sanctuary of PA are excited to begin welcoming visitors again. As we reopen our gates once again, we want to let you know that safety is our priority. As such, we want to share with you our plans for providing a safe environment for tours, but please understand, this is a work in progress and some details may change. Please check back here often!
As of June 2020:
Email is the best way to connect with us right now. Our secretary has resigned so there is currently not a full-time person in the office to answer the telephone.
All tours will be RESERVATION ONLY. If online availability is sold out, please contact us about our waiting list. Tour waivers that are required of all visitors will be completed in advance online or by phone. We are working hard to bring you Virtual Tour options as well, so please let us know if this is something you might be interested in.
Tour sizes are restricted in order to avoid large gatherings and reduce the risk of spreading the virus. Private Tours are scheduled for just your personal group and our Tuesday/Thursday guided public tour is restricted to no more than 10 visitors per tour guide. Please ask about our waiting list if online reservations are booked full.
We require that all visitors, volunteers, and staff wear masks in our public spaces and observe a 6′ social distance. The only exception will be guests with a medical reason for being unable to wear a mask. If this applies to you, please let us know when making your reservation.
Our property provides ample space for social distancing when outside, however please do continue to wear your mask throughout the duration of the tour. Also keep in mind that some of our wolves and wolf-dogs may be sensitive to the new mask requirement so please listen to your guide’s instructions regarding respecting the wolves’ comfort levels.
We will be vigilantly disinfecting all surfaces in the gift shop before and after tours and only 2 visitors may enter the gift shop at a time. We will be sending a gift shop catalog by email which you can review before or after your tour. If you would like, we would be happy to take your order over the phone in advance and have it packaged and ready for you to pickup following your tour. We can also ship items if you would like to order from our catalog after you leave.
There is a hand sanitizer dispenser in the gift shop, in the porta-potties and at the tour exit gate.
We do not have indoor restroom facilities, however our porta-potties are regularly cleaned and disinfected and are equipped with hand sanitizer.
We are unable to offer refreshments during this time. Please be sure to bring non-alcoholic beverages to stay hydrated, especially during the warmer weather.
If you don’t feel well, please let us know as soon as possible and stay home. We will work with you to reschedule your reservation. Our volunteers and staff will also stay home and quarantine if they don’t feel well or run a temperature.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we all learn to live in this new normal. We hope that visiting Speedwell Forge and spending time with the wolves will bring you peace during these uncertain times.
