Day-Time Tour Information

The DAY-TIME public tour last about an hour sometimes a little longer depending on group size and curiosity.

The DAY-TIME public tour starts with an introduction of how the sanctuary was formed and a wide variety of wolf facts.

Your guide will then take you from one pack to the next introducing you to our wolves and answering questions as they are asked.

The wolves are outside, so you will be outside too.

This is not a power walk, but more of a leisurely walk from pack to pack. The trails are natural grass, stones and dirt (sometimes mud).

For the most part your tour takes place on terrain that is flat but not even (kinda like the grassy area in a public park). The last part of your tour is up a hill.

We have a new parking area and continue to work on some expansion for the sanctuary. PLEASE wear good walking shoes.

Full Moon Tour

Our FULL MOON tours are a bit different. You must be 16 (with proof of age) or older to attend the FULL MOON tour.

What is a full moon tour? Well….it’s a tour we do once a month on the closest Saturday to the full moon. We say create your own experience.

Instead of following a tour guide from pack to pack at a regulated pace that fits within a 45 minute to 60 minute time line, you get to go at your own pace from pack to pack talking to a tour guide who is stationed at each pack. You can listen to what they have to say about the wolves when stopping at a station or you can ask questions. You move at your own pace.

If you get tired and want to sit, you can go over and sit next to a roaring bonfire (weather permitting) and just relax. When was the last time you did that? Just sit and relax, no worries. Plenty of time.

Bring a blanket, a flashlight, a chair, maybe some hot dogs and marshmallows. We hope you will come. Sometimes we just sit around and talk, other times we have entertainment. We always have fun, and its always about the wolves.

By the Light of the Moon Tours: Full Moon walks with campfire. Children 16 and older welcome to attend. $20 per person. NO PETS IN YOUR CAR OR ON THE PROPERTY! NO CHILDREN UNDER 16 MAY WAIT IN YOUR CAR OR ON THE PROPERTY WHILE YOU ENJOY A TOUR!

If you have special needs, please advise us in advance of your visit. See Tours and Events above.

No reservation needed for this tour. Arrive at 7:30 for the full moon tour.
