The only way to see Wolf Sanctuary of PA is by a guided tour.

Wolf Sanctuary of PA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with no government funding. We rely on our tours and events, fundraisers, and private donations to continue to provide the highest level of quality care and enrichment for all of the wolves in our care. All proceeds from our tours and events go directly towards helping the wolves.

The sanctuary Gift Shop is open during tour hours or by appointment. All proceeds from gift shop sales also directly benefit the wolves.

Weekday Public Tour

TUESDAY & THURSDAY PUBLIC TOUR

Weekday Public Tour
Public Tours during the week are only held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
During the Tuesday and Thursday public tours, guides lead guests around to several of the packs, providing information about the wolves here as well as information about their biology and conservation.
The pace of the tour is set by the guide, and all visitors must stay with their group at all times.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY PUBLIC TOUR

Public Tours during the weekend are only held once per day on Saturdays and Sundays.
During the Saturday and Sunday public tour, guides lead guests around to several of the packs, providing information about the wolves here as well as information about their biology and conservation. The pace of the tour is set by the guide, and all visitors must stay with their group at all times.
Guests must arrive 15-20 minutes before the start of the tour since the entrance gate will close promptly when the tour begins and no additional guests will be admitted after that time.

  • $12 adults

FULL MOON TOUR

Full Moon Tour
*You must be 16 (with proof of age) or older to attend the FULL MOON tour.
*Admission begins at 7:30PM and ends at 8:30PM. No guests will be admitted after 8:30PM.
**Pay upon arrival OR purchase admission in advance online.
The Full Moon tour event is held on the Saturday evening closest to the full moon and features a bonfire, live entertainment, and self-guided tours. Guides will be stationed at each pack to provide information and answer questions throughout the evening. The Full Moon Event is also our only age-restricted event (children under 16 may not attend).
Guests may bring marshmallows or hot dogs to roast on the bonfire as well as refreshments, though alcohol is not permitted. Bring a blanket, a chair, maybe some hot dogs and marshmallows (alcohol is not permitted).
We hope you will come. We always have fun, and it’s always about the wolves.

PRIVATE TOURS

Private Tour
Private Tours offer an opportunity to view all of the wolves at the sanctuary.
Your guide will lead you and whoever you choose to bring with you around the entire sanctuary to view all of the wolves. They will stop for a few moments at each pack to introduce them and provide information on conservation and biology.

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS

Professional Photography Session
These sessions offer an opportunity for professional photographers to spend time photographing the wolves at their leisure.
During the session you will have access to the same trails as the private tour. The session is not informational, but rather a guide will accompany you through the facility and may provide suggestions for the best angles or viewpoints.
For these sessions, all photography equipment is permitted, including tripods and long lenses, though video is still prohibited.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Private Tours and Weekday Public Tours require advanced booking. Weekend public tours and Full Moon Tours do not require advanced booking, though optional booking is available for the Full Moon Tour. Professional Photography Sessions must also be arranged in advance.
Tour length varies. Typically, the Public Tour lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hours and the Private Tour lasts approximately 2 hours. The length of the public tour is approximately 1/8 of a mile (1/4 mile including the steep portion towards the end of the tour) and the pace is leisurely.
It typically depends on the age group. The tour may not be appropriate for children under age 5 due to the length and nature of the tour.

Note also that there is no playground at the facility and children are not allowed to run, wander or behave loudly while visiting. To maintain a peaceful and serene environment for our animals and other guests, we require children to be monitored at ALL TIMES. It is imperative that parents keep their children close by and on the trails. Any parent or child not respecting our policies will be asked to leave immediately.

During the Public Tour guests have an opportunity to view a little over half of the wolves. During the Private Tour guests tour the entire facility and have an opportunity to view all of the packs.
All guests and visitors view the wolves from behind/through 1 to 2 sets of fencing, with 3×3 to 3×6 inch wide gaps. Guests are not permitted to reach over or through any fencing in accordance state laws, insurance requirements, and our mission and goals.
There is no direct interaction between visitors and the wolves in according with state laws, insurance requirements, and our mission and goals.
Pets are not permitted on the property at any time.
Video is prohibited. Photos are permitted (and encouraged!)
The only tour with an age restriction is our Full Moon Tour since it is in the evening. For the Full Moon Tour, children under age 16 are not permitted to attend.
The trails are natural grass, rocks, and dirt and the majority of the public tour is on a relatively flat surface. There is an optional portion towards the end of the public tour that involves a steep hill, but there are only a few wolves at the top, the majority are below.

The length of the tour is approximately 1/8 of a mile (1/4 mile including the steep portion) and the pace is leisurely. Guides will stop at each pack for 10 minutes or so to provide information about the wolves here and about wolf conservation and biology.

There are plenty of benches and chairs around the sanctuary and in front of most of the packs on the tour.

Guests are not permitted to bring alcohol to the property at any time.

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas. Smoking is not permitted near the wolf enclosures or bonfire area.

There is no picnic area or campground on the property. Guests are only permitted on the property during guided tours.

Payment for the Weekend Public Tour, the Full Moon Tour, and Special Events can be made in the Information Center before the tour. Payment for the Private Tour and Weekday Public Tour can be processed through our online tour reservation system.

All tour funds directly benefit the wolves.
